Renovation of an apartment with a modern and elegant style
Getting a modern, but stylish apartment at the same time, is not difficult. Just a little of attention in the choice of materials and you are done.
In this regard, here is the renovation of an apartment on the first floor that we realized. Classic and elegant marble effect tiles were chosen, but they were inserted in a very modern context. See the gallery of work and take inspiration for your home!
Living area
The tile we used in the living area has the following characteristics:
- • graphite marble-effect porcelain tiles;
- • rectified 60×120 format;
- • mass colouring;
- • matt surface;
- • light grey veins tending to white;
The combination of dark floor with mostly light-coloured furniture gives the apartment a decidedly modern look. Matt marble-effect porcelain tiles are the right compromise between elegance and modernity: elegance is given by veins; modernity by the matt surface.
Kitchen
As soon as you enter the kitchen, your attention is captured by the countertop and backsplashes made with marble-effect porcelain slabs. The tile reproduces the classic white marble look with its delicate light grey veins. The surface is glossy. The real protagonist of the kitchen, however, is the washbasin, also made of marble-effect ceramics.
The end result is harmonious and pleasing to the eye. The kitchen looks like a unique piece; marble gives such brightness that it makes the room seem more spacious.
The contrast between the graphite-coloured floor and the white kitchen countertop gives character and decision to the kitchen area.
The Bathroom
The following materials were used for the bathroom renovation:
- • walls: concrete-effect porcelain tiles, size 30×60, light grey colour;
- • floor, shower interior and bathroom sink cabinet countertop: matt graphite marble-effect porcelain tiles, 60×120 format;
Although the bathroom is a bit small, the size of the floor tiles (although dark) and the light colour of the walls make the room look larger.
